This Jeevastra mat is dyed in the herbs Vetiver, Triphala, and Red sandalwood. Vetiver: It is a cooling and stress relieving herb. In Ayurveda, vetiver is used to cure stress-related illnesses and insomnia. Inhaling vetiver can improve your concentration during practice.Triphala: Purifies the blood and improves digestion. Breathing in triphala during yoga practice assists in natural internal cleansing. Triphala's antiseptic properties help keep the mat clean and hygienic.Red sandalwood: In Ayurveda it is used to improve and rejuvenate skin. They're made from organic cotton, handwoven in Kerala (India) and dyed in natural ayurvedic herbs by villagers whose families have been practising this 5000-year old Indian fabric dyeing technique for generations.
